Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Previous experience in a school setting preferred
  • Home Health and/or broader healthcare OT experience is valued
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
  • Ability to adapt therapy techniques to individual student needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative mindset to work effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to students based on IEP recommendations
  • Conduct assessments to determine students’ needs and progress
  • Develop, document, and implement individualized therapy plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
  • Support students in acquiring and improving functional and academic skills
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress monitoring
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards
