Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Occupational Therapist license for the state of South Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Demonstrated experience working in school settings or with pediatric populations
- Proficiency in completing assessments, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and implementing evidence-based interventions
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals
- Commitment to inclusive practices and helping diverse learners access the curriculum
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ strengths and needs related to school performance
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized plans to help students achieve their goals
- Deliver occupational therapy services in group and one-on-one settings, both within and outside the classroom
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to integrate strategies that support independent learning and participation
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with district and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings and relevant team discussions to advocate for students’ needs
