Bring your passion for supporting students as a vital part of a dynamic school-based team. This full-time, contract position offers the opportunity to work with K-12 students, helping them achieve greater independence and success in their educational environment. As an occupational therapist in this itinerant role, you’ll have the chance to travel to multiple school sites and make a meaningful impact across the district.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapy (OT) license for the state of Texas
  • Previous experience in a school setting (K-12 population) strongly preferred
  • Ability to provide both direct intervention and consultation for students with a range of needs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, especially in preparing IEP documentation and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfortable with an itinerant schedule/traveling to different schools during the week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver creative, evidence-based OT therapy to students in individual and group settings
  • Travel between school sites to meet the needs of diverse learners and support staff
  • Consult with teachers, parents, and staff regarding strategies to foster student growth and access
  • Prepare thorough, timely IEP paperwork and participate in ARD meetings as an active contributor
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school district requirements
  • Collaborate closely with other professionals to ensure comprehensive student support

This is a full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to approximately 4:30 pm, starting ASAP through June 30, 2027. Candidates should be prepared for an engaging, varied workweek and enjoy collaborating within the school community.
