What You'll Need:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license for Washington state
• Proven experience or strong interest in school-based occupational therapy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working closely with students, teachers, and families
• Knowledge of IEP processes and relevant documentation
• Proactive problem-solving skills and adaptability
• Ability to manage time effectively with multiple students and priorities

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ needs and recommend appropriate interventions
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligning with IEP goals
• Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to support classroom strategies
• Monitor and document students' progress, maintaining accurate records
• Engage families by providing education and resources for at-home support
• Attend IEP meetings as a subject-matter expert contributing to student support teams
• Create a positive and motivating environment that fosters student independence
