School Occupational Therapist - Bellevue, Washington

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist license in Washington State (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience or strong interest in providing OT services within school settings
• Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and goal-setting for students with diverse needs
• Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Adaptability and commitment to culturally responsive practices

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and provide direct therapy to students, focusing on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care, and participation in classroom activities
• Develop individualized treatment plans and measurable goals tailored to each student’s needs
• Participate in IEP meetings, contribute input for program planning, and maintain clear communication with staff and families
• Deliver evidence-based interventions both one-on-one and in group settings
• Train staff on the use of accommodations, modifications, and assistive devices as needed
• Keep comprehensive records of evaluations, progress reports, and compliance documents
• Foster positive relationships to encourage student growth and school participation
