Step into a rewarding role supporting students throughout their educational journey as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload across all grade levels, from early childhood through young adulthood (ages 3–22), providing district-wide services in an itinerant capacity. The position is based in a vibrant community near Bellevue, WA, and runs from August 26, 2026, to June 16, 2027, with four orientation days to help you acclimate before the academic year begins.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Washington State Occupational Therapy Certification (WA Certificate)
- Educational Staff Associate (ESA) credential in Washington
- Current residency within the United States
- Completion of background check and fingerprinting
- At least one year of experience in a school-based environment as an OT
- Comfortable providing in-person services
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across multiple sites within the district
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Conduct assessments, monitor progress, and maintain detailed records for compliance and reporting
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Travel between locations as needed to address the unique needs of a broad age range of students
You'll enjoy a full-time schedule, working Monday through Friday, with 7.5 paid hours and a 30-minute lunch break each day. Orientation days scheduled before the school year will ensure you hit the ground running and are set up for success.
