Make a meaningful difference as an Occupational Therapist supporting students in the vibrant Seattle area. Opportunities are available for both part-time and full-time contracts, offering a chance to work directly within local schools and positively impact the lives of children and adolescents.
There are two openings available:
- A .8 FTE Occupational Therapist role (4 days per week) in South Seattle, covering the entire school year from late August through mid-June.
- A full-time Occupational Therapist role in Southwest Seattle beginning in January and continuing through the end of the school year.
Your expertise in school-based occupational therapy will help students gain essential skills for academic and personal success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active OT licensure for Washington State, or eligibility to obtain it promptly
- Previous experience working in school settings is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of IEP processes, therapy documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students, staff, and families
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and adapt to changing student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ abilities and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance access to learning
- Provide direct occupational therapy services on campus, focusing on sensory, fine motor, and self-regulation skills
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and parents to integrate therapy strategies into daily routines
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and student support conferences
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports for caseload
