Key Qualifications:

  • Active Vermont Occupational Therapist (OT) license
  • Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
  • Strong ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families
  • Adaptable and compassionate approach with students across varying ages and abilities
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to K-12 students, both individually and in groups
  • Conduct assessments, evaluate student needs, and develop individualized intervention plans
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to progress reports
  • Document services in accordance with school and state guidelines
  • Train and consult with school staff on strategies to support student success in the classroom
  • Adapt and modify activities or environments to promote student participation
