This full-time, contract position focuses on supporting K-12 students by fostering their independence and participation across educational settings. Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapy certification in Vermont (VT OT certificate required)
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Experience with pediatric or school-based caseloads preferred
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with students, staff, and families
  • Ability to assess student needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Organized, self-motivated, and adaptable to various age groups and school settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for K-12 students
  • Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support student goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and parents to integrate recommendations into the classroom
  • Document student progress and maintain all necessary records as required under state and district guidelines
  • Provide direct and consultative services to help students access their education and activities in the least restrictive environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to interdisciplinary discussions
