Step into a dynamic contract role supporting elementary-aged students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. This full-time opportunity (40 hours per week) centers on working with early childhood through 5th-grade learners in a lively school environment. You’ll play a pivotal part in fostering students’ functional independence and engagement during the school day. Work hours typically run from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional after-hours meetings to collaborate with staff and families.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in Wisconsin or eligibility to obtain
- Experience delivering OT services in school settings, home health, or healthcare environments
- Familiarity with Individualized Education Program (IEP) processes and documentation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams, students, and families
- Committed to in-person service delivery; remote work is not offered
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring for elementary students
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans to address students’ developmental and learning needs
- Collaborate with teachers and educational teams to integrate OT strategies into classroom routines
- Attend and actively participate in IEP meetings, student reviews, and after-hours meetings as required
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
