Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an Occupational Therapist serving students in a supportive and well-resourced school environment near Belvidere, IL. This onsite role begins with orientation on August 3 and 4, 2026, with students arriving August 10, 2026, and continues through May 21, 2027. There are three full-time positions available, each at 37.5 hours per week. What we’re looking for:
- Hold a valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license suitable for school settings
- Experience, or strong interest, in providing OT services to children in educational environments
- Ability to work full time onsite throughout the school year contract
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Eagerness to grow professionally and engage in continual learning
- Team player mindset, ready to participate in collaborative discussions and process improvements
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT interventions tailored to students’ educational needs
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop and implement IEP goals
- Utilize provided equipment and evaluation tools
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Participate in monthly meetings, roundtable discussions, and annual reviews
- Engage in regular 1:1 check-ins and monthly meetings with leadership
- Contribute ideas in process improvement initiatives for school-based OT services
- Utilize real-time digital platforms to collaborate with colleagues across the region
- Participate in the “Buddy Program” as a new hire to ensure a smooth onboarding
