School Occupational Therapist | Bena, Minnesota

Embark on a rewarding full-time contract role as an Occupational Therapist, supporting students from Pre K through 12th grade in a dynamic and collaborative educational setting near Bena, MN. You will make a meaningful impact in the lives of children with a diverse caseload of 60-75 students, working closely with a certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) and providing crucial supervision. Qualifications and Requirements:

• Valid Occupational Therapist licensure
• Previous school-based experience is advantageous
• Strong understanding of pediatric OT practices and interventions
• Comfortable supervising and collaborating with support staff (COTA)
• Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches for a variety of developmental stages (Pre K-12)
• Commitment to delivering student-centered therapy services

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Provide direct occupational therapy services to a diverse student population
• Oversee and collaborate with a COTA, guiding intervention strategies and monitoring progress
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation on student progress and therapy outcomes
• Participate in IEP meetings, family conferences, and multidisciplinary team collaborations
• Support school staff by providing knowledge and training related to occupational therapy best practices
• Foster an inclusive, supportive learning environment for all students
