As an itinerant OT, you will travel between various campuses, collaborating with educators and other specialists to create a supportive environment where every student can thrive.
Ideal candidates bring expertise in school-based occupational therapy, alongside a passion for student development and advocacy. You’ll play a key role in assessing student needs, developing tailored interventions, and ensuring progress through innovative strategies.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program
- Active California Occupational Therapist license and certifications
- Previous experience in a school setting (K-12) strongly preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt quickly while working across different campuses and with diverse student populations
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ motor skills, sensory processing, and functional capabilities
- Develop, implement, and track individualized therapy plans in collaboration with teachers, families, and staff
- Deliver direct and consultative services to students, supporting their participation in daily school activities
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Travel between assigned school sites to provide flexible, onsite services
