Make a difference in the lives of students by supporting their growth and independence as a school-based Occupational Therapist. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through May 2027, offering a part-time schedule—three days a week, approximately 19.5 hours total—serving students in a vibrant, supportive educational setting.
You will play a crucial role in fostering development for a diverse caseload of approximately 19 students ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade. Through tailored intervention and collaborative teamwork, you’ll help empower young learners to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- State licensure (or eligibility) for practice as a school-based OT
- Previous experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in school settings
- Familiarity with IEPs, assessments, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for partnering with staff and families
- Ability to develop creative, individualized treatment strategies
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students with a variety of needs, focusing on fine motor, sensory processing, and daily functional skills
- Conduct assessments, draft reports, and participate in IEP meetings
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in accordance with students’ goals
- Consult with teachers and staff, providing classroom strategies and support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Engage with families, offering education and updates on student progress
