Occupational Therapist School Setting in Berkeley, CA

Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in California
• Prior experience working as an OT within a school setting preferred
• Strong understanding of pediatric developmental and sensory needs
• Adept at adapting interventions to meet Individualized Education Program (IEP) requirements
• Effective communicator with students, families, and school staff

Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to support students’ participation in academic and daily activities
• Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document student progress according to district and state guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers and other school professionals to integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom
• Attend IEP meetings and contribute to developing student goals
• Consult with caregivers and provide resources to foster student success both at school and at home
