School Occupational Therapist | Bernalillo, New Mexico

Make a difference supporting students aged 3 to 22 with diverse needs at multiple school sites in the Bernalillo area. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic setting where you'll provide occupational therapy services as you help cover for OTs on leave throughout the school year. Your assignment will evolve as staff return and new leaves occur, ensuring engaging variety and meaningful impact.

Your expertise as a licensed OT will play a crucial role in enhancing student access, participation, and success. This is an onsite-only position, giving you the chance to collaborate closely with educators and other professionals while building relationships with students.

Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Experience or strong interest in school-based OT practice
• Familiarity working with children and young adults with a range of disabilities
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing school sites, caseloads, and team dynamics
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with school staff and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide occupational therapy assessment, intervention, and consultation for students across multiple sites
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students’ needs
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student growth
• Adapt to changing assignments as OTs go on and return from leave
