Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bessemer, AL

Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students in a dynamic school environment near Bessemer, AL. We're seeking Occupational Therapists dedicated to making a difference in young lives, working on-site across multiple schools from now through early June. This role offers the chance to collaborate closely with educators and families while helping students achieve their educational goals through quality OT services.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active and valid Alabama Occupational Therapy license/certification
• School-based or pediatric OT experience preferred
• Familiarity with IEP-driven service delivery and documentation
• Strong communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Ability to multitask and manage caseloads independently across multiple locations
• Commitment to on-site work (remote options are not available)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct OT services to 50–60 students across four schools
• Deliver interventions individually, in small groups, and via push-in models, depending on IEP recommendations
• Implement and document services per frequency guidelines (weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly)
• Collaborate with special education teams to develop and review IEPs
• Maintain timely, detailed documentation and progress notes
• Contribute to a positive, student-centered atmosphere within each school setting
• Uphold ethical and legal standards in all aspects of practice
