Make an impact this fall supporting students’ development in a vibrant educational environment near Bethel, CT. This contract opportunity is perfect for an Occupational Therapist with school-based experience who thrives in dynamic settings and enjoys working with a diverse student population.
The assignment runs from now through early December, following a Monday through Friday schedule from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. You’ll work collaboratively with school staff to provide direct therapy and support for students across elementary, middle, and high school levels. The caseload includes:
- Elementary K-2: 9.5 direct hours (with opportunities for student grouping)
- Elementary 3-5: 9.5 direct hours (some students can be grouped as well)
- Middle School: 4.5 direct hours (grouping available for certain students)
- High School: 1 direct hour (serving one student)
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in Connecticut
- Recent, relevant experience in a school-based setting
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach
- Ability to efficiently document sessions and progress notes
- Experience supporting K-12 students, adapting approaches for varying age groups
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy targeting students’ unique goals
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families for holistic student support
- Adjust interventions as needed to maximize student success in educational activities
- Maintain accurate, timely records in accordance with school and state guidelines
