Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current OT licensure in Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred
  • Strong collaborative skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Comfortable with IEP processes and documentation requirements

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to identify students’ therapy needs within the educational setting
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in coordination with IEP teams
  • Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in group or one-on-one settings
  • Work closely with teachers and families to enhance student participation and independence
  • Maintain accurate records of intervention strategies, progress notes, and required reports
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise to shape student goals
