Occupational Therapist School Setting - Blaine, WA

Step into an exciting contract opportunity as a dedicated Occupational Therapist serving a welcoming school community near Blaine, WA. You’ll enjoy a consistent, full-time schedule—35 hours per week—with hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This contract will continue until a direct hire is secured for the district, allowing you to collaborate alongside educators and students at a single school site.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapy license required
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is essential
• Proficiency in managing a caseload of 50+ students with diverse needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
• Strong organizational skills to support documentation and service delivery
• Ability to create and implement effective intervention plans tailored to individual education plans (IEPs)

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in accordance with IEP goals
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop evidence-based, goal-oriented interventions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including special education staff and families, to optimize student progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation and progress reports
• Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for service delivery
• Promote student independence in classrooms and other school environments
