Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bloomington, IL

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current OT license valid in Illinois
• Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel
• Commitment to supporting children with varying physical, sensory, or developmental needs
• Flexibility and problem-solving skills to meet individual student needs

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students to determine strengths, challenges, and need for occupational therapy intervention
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with IEPs
• Work directly with students on fine motor skills, sensory processing, self-care routines, and classroom access
• Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to adapt learning materials and the school environment
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and staff discussions as required
• Maintain detailed documentation of student progress and therapeutic interventions
• Provide training and support to staff and caregivers as needed
