Empower students as a contract occupational therapy professional supporting multiple school sites in the Blue Springs, MO area for the upcoming fall semester. You’ll be instrumental in helping students develop and strengthen their skills to thrive academically and personally.
You’ll work across several campuses—serving elementary, middle, and high school populations—with a caseload of approximately 32 direct students totaling around 800 service minutes each week. This position offers autonomy in structuring your weekly visits, as you’ll build your own schedule with initial collaborative support to ensure all assigned students are consistently served.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Missouri
- Prior experience in school-based OT preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for collaborating with educators, students, and families
- Capacity to manage service delivery across multiple locations
- Organizational skills and flexibility to design an efficient weekly schedule
- Commitment to supporting diverse student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to caseload students at multiple school sites
- Conduct assessments, craft individualized intervention plans, and maintain thorough progress documentation
- Consult with teachers, support staff, and family members to implement and adjust strategies that maximize student success
- Participate in student planning meetings as needed
- Adapt services collaboratively to meet changing caseload needs throughout the assignment
This full-time contract opportunity runs from late August until winter break in December, with standard hours of approximately 8:00–4:00 PM (7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday).
