Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with current credentials (state eligibility required)
- Previous experience within a school setting, preferably with elementary or secondary students
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Creative problem-solver who adapts strategies to meet individual needs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care tasks
- Develop, implement, and monitor goal-driven intervention plans as part of students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate occupational therapy strategies into classroom routines and daily activities
- Document progress and keep detailed, compliant records in accordance with school and regulatory standards
- Provide consultation, support, and resources to help teachers modify the learning environment and support student participation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions
