Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bluffton, SC

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with current credentials (state eligibility required)
• Previous experience within a school setting, preferably with elementary or secondary students
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• Creative problem-solver who adapts strategies to meet individual needs
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth related to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care tasks
• Develop, implement, and monitor goal-driven intervention plans as part of students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to integrate occupational therapy strategies into classroom routines and daily activities
• Document progress and keep detailed, compliant records in accordance with school and regulatory standards
• Provide consultation, support, and resources to help teachers modify the learning environment and support student participation
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary discussions
