Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Indiana, or eligibility to obtain
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with students, parents, and educational staff
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
  • Passion for working with children and helping them develop essential life skills

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
  • Evaluate student needs using standardized assessments and observations
  • Develop personalized treatment plans and goals for students
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district requirements
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on student progress and recommendations
  • Adapt interventions based on student progress and changing needs
