Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Indiana, or eligibility to obtain
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working with students, parents, and educational staff
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
- Passion for working with children and helping them develop essential life skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Evaluate student needs using standardized assessments and observations
- Develop personalized treatment plans and goals for students
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to create supportive learning environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide expertise on student progress and recommendations
- Adapt interventions based on student progress and changing needs
