Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience in at least one of the following: school-based OT, home health OT, healthcare OT, or teletherapy OT
- Knowledge of pediatric therapy best practices and IEP process
- Strong communication skills, both with students and interdisciplinary teams
- Aptitude for adapting strategies to a variety of learning, cognitive, and physical needs
- Familiarity with digital therapy platforms is a plus
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to students in school and home environments as well as virtually
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans based on assessment of student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and fellow professionals to support student progress
- Document therapy sessions, track progress, and maintain accurate records according to school and healthcare guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering recommendations and expertise to shape effective educational strategies
- Provide consultation and training for teachers and caregivers as appropriate
- Travel between sites or facilitate teletherapy sessions as scheduled
