Key Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school settings
- Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborative educational teams
- Previous experience supporting students with autism and complex needs preferred
- Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
- Ability to tailor interventions for a diverse range of students
Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with each student’s IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress for students ages K-12
- Collaborate effectively with special education teachers, speech and language pathologists, and paraprofessionals
- Support students in developing daily living, fine motor, and sensory-motor skills
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to data-driven decisions regarding student progress
- Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding strategies for student success
This ESY program runs from June 29th through August 6th, with the work schedule set for Monday through Thursday, 7:45 am to 1:15 pm. The program is dedicated to students requiring significant support, offering you valuable experience in a focused, collaborative setting.
