This contract opportunity is suited for a skilled OT ready to support students with autism and other complex disorders participating in an Extended School Year (ESY) program. The role offers a part-time schedule, making it ideal for those seeking rewarding clinical work with the flexibility of shorter summer hours.

Key Qualifications:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience working in school settings
  • Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborative educational teams
  • Previous experience supporting students with autism and complex needs preferred
  • Strong communication, adaptability, and organizational skills
  • Ability to tailor interventions for a diverse range of students

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services aligned with each student’s IEP goals
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress for students ages K-12
  • Collaborate effectively with special education teachers, speech and language pathologists, and paraprofessionals
  • Support students in developing daily living, fine motor, and sensory-motor skills
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to data-driven decisions regarding student progress
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff regarding strategies for student success

This ESY program runs from June 29th through August 6th, with the work schedule set for Monday through Thursday, 7:45 am to 1:15 pm. The program is dedicated to students requiring significant support, offering you valuable experience in a focused, collaborative setting.
