Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience in school-based Occupational Therapy settings preferred
- Knowledge of developing and implementing IEPs for K-12 students
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Flexibility to adapt to changing caseloads and school environments
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students, addressing a variety of needs in both individual and group settings
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to implement accommodations and modifications promoting student success
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports according to school and state guidelines
- Educate students, families, and school staff on OT strategies and assistive technology
- Actively contribute to a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
