Opportunities are available in both Plainville and Bellingham, MA, serving local schools dedicated to creating inclusive and nurturing environments. With a flexible schedule from Monday to Thursday, 8:30am to 1:30pm, this role is perfect for those who value work/life balance and want to make a direct difference in children’s lives.
Positions are available at each location–or, if you’re seeking a fuller schedule, you may combine hours across both sites. Each setting offers approximately 10 hours per week, letting you customize your level of involvement.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a valid Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts.
- Previous school-based experience preferred; open to those eager to support students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective teamwork with staff, families, and students.
- Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches to meet IEP goals and individual student needs.
- Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for students with varying abilities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to school-aged children.
- Assess students’ motor, sensory, and functional skills to develop and implement effective intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings as needed.
- Adjust therapeutic strategies in response to student progress and feedback.
