Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting elementary students from pre-kindergarten through 5th grade in a dynamic school environment near Boston, MA. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) provides coverage during a maternity leave, initially for 12 weeks with the potential for extension.

Your expertise in school-based occupational therapy, as well as familiarity with home health and general healthcare settings, will be highly valued as you engage with young learners, educators, and families. You'll have the chance to help students progress toward their goals and foster their independence within the school setting.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid occupational therapy license in Massachusetts
  • Experience in school settings, ideally with elementary-age students
  • Familiarity with both in-person and home health OT practices
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes and compliance
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to diverse caseloads
  • Previous maternity coverage experience a plus but not required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct OT services to students in PK–5th grade
  • Conduct assessments and develop tailored intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents
  • Participate in IEP meetings, providing input and updates
  • Monitor and document student progress according to school and legal guidelines
  • Support students’ engagement in daily classroom activities and routines
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive atmosphere
