What you’ll need to excel in this role:
- Active WA-issued Occupational Therapy license (OT)
- Current ESA certification
- Experience or strong familiarity with school-based occupational therapy, home health OT, and teletherapy platforms
- Previous success working with K-8 student populations
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with educators, students, and families
- Flexibility and strong organizational skills for managing a varied caseload
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering thorough evaluations and assessments to determine individualized student needs
- Developing and implementing targeted treatment plans in school, home, and virtual formats as appropriate
- Supporting students in developing fine motor, sensory, adaptive, and daily living skills
- Liaising regularly with IEP teams, teachers, and caregivers to ensure coordinated care
- Monitoring and documenting progress, adjusting interventions as needed for optimal student success
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with all state and district guidelines
This contract runs from September 1, 2026, through June 16, 2027, with a consistent 38.75-hour workweek—giving you the stability and structure you need to focus on student outcomes.
