This on-site position spans the 2026-2027 school year, offering 20 hours per week with guaranteed hours and a competitive pay rate between $45-55. Your expertise in school-based OT, including teletherapy, fine and gross motor skills, and experience working with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), will be highly valued. You'll play a crucial role in helping students access their curriculum and participate fully in school activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Occupational Therapist license and eligibility to practice in Nevada
- Solid experience with school-based OT practices, including both onsite and teletherapy service delivery
- Strong background in developing and implementing interventions targeting fine and gross motor skills
- Previous experience supervising or collaborating with COTAs
- Familiarity with educational documentation and IEP participation
- Clear fingerprint background clearance (or eligibility to obtain)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct OT services onsite to students, both in groups and individually
- Assess occupational performance and write effective treatment plans to address student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams to support student progress
- Provide recommendations for adaptations, assistive devices, and classroom modifications
- Participate in IEP meetings and document student progress as required
- Consult and support teletherapy sessions as needed
