This is an on-site, contract opportunity near Boulder City, NV. You’ll collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to help students strengthen fine and gross motor skills, ensuring every child has access to the tools they need for academic and everyday success.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Nevada State Occupational Therapist licensure (required)
- School-based experience preferred, but all applicants are welcome
- Skilled in both fine motor and gross motor assessment and intervention
- Confidence in teletherapy considered a plus
- Familiarity working alongside COTAs within a school setting is advantageous
- Strong communication abilities for collaborating with staff, families, and other professionals
- Compassionate, organized, and adaptable approach to working with K-12 students
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver occupational therapy services for student caseloads (details shared during interviews)
- Implement and monitor progress on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Support the development of fine and gross motor skills needed for academic participation and daily activities
- Work collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers to maximize student growth
- Document progress and ensure compliance with school and state standards
- Contribute to team meetings, student evaluations, and goal setting
