Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Maryland
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP procedures and documentation
- Adaptable, compassionate, and skilled in both individual and group sessions
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ motor, sensory, and functional needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans as part of the IEP process
- Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to ensure cohesive therapy services
- Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions in classroom and pull-out settings
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting approaches as needed
- Support staff with classroom strategies and resources to foster student independence
