Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity supporting early intervention and elementary students as a full-time Occupational Therapist on a contract basis. This rewarding position offers you the chance to collaborate closely with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to foster growth and independence in young learners.
Essential Skills and Background:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in Delaware (or eligibility to obtain before start date)
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or early intervention settings strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced educational environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, intervention, and therapy services to students in early intervention and elementary grade levels
- Develop individualized treatment plans and contribute to goal-setting for students with diverse learning and developmental needs
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies and legal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, team consultations, and parent conferences as needed
- Adapt and implement evidence-based strategies to support student participation and success in daily classroom and school activities
- Educate teachers and families on strategies and tools to enhance student progress
