An exciting opportunity is open for a contract Occupational Therapist to support a diverse group of students in a school-based environment. This part-time position is onsite, working with a dedicated caseload of 20 students during the 2026–2027 school year. You’ll collaborate closely with educators and families to promote student growth and independence.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license is required
- Previous experience in a school-based OT setting preferred
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively with students of varying abilities
- Proven ability to manage and organize a small caseload
- Aptitude for building positive relationships with school staff, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Assess students’ strengths and needs and develop individualized therapy plans
- Maintain accurate and timely records and progress notes
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other support staff
- Participate in IEP meetings and serve as a resource regarding occupational therapy
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress
- Adhere to all relevant policies, standards, and ethics of school-based therapy practice
