Occupational Therapist School Setting in Brighton, MA

Step into a unique opportunity to make a real difference by providing in-person Occupational Therapy compensatory services for a deserving student. This contract position is ideal for an adaptable, compassionate OT who thrives on impactful, solution-focused work. You’ll be handling a short-term assignment (8 hours total, not recurring weekly) with a flexible start date as soon as possible, supporting a young learner whose family has navigated complex transitions during a state complaint process. The work is located onsite in Lexington, MA, and will not be conducted virtually.

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Active state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Previous experience working in school-based settings and/or with home health clients
• Strong understanding of IEPs and compensatory service delivery
• Ability to collaborate effectively with families and school administrators
• Resourceful, flexible and comfortable operating in situations that may require independent problem-solving
• Prior experience working with students in transitional education situations is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver in-person compensatory Occupational Therapy to fulfill mandated service hours for a former student
• Assess and address needs collaboratively with the student and family, ensuring continuity of care despite district transitions
• Document interventions and progress in accordance with best practices and regulatory standards
• Communicate effectively and sensitively with all parties, navigating the delicate nature of compensatory service obligations
