Work Hours: 35 hours per week, onsite coverage
Position: 1 opening for district-wide support
Qualifications:
- Current, active Occupational Therapist (OT) license for the state of Connecticut
- Previous experience in a school-setting preferred, with a strong understanding of IEPs, sensory integration, and fine/gross motor interventions for school-aged children
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to connect with educators, support staff, students, and families
- Ability to travel to and work at multiple schools as assigned within the district
- Strong organizational skills and adaptability to varying caseload needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and indirect occupational therapy services to students on a district-wide basis
- Assess and document student progress, develop and implement treatment plans based on IEP goals
- Collaborate with special education professionals, teachers, and parents to modify and adapt learning environments and classroom materials
- Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with local and state regulations
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and related school community activities as needed
