This contract role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist (OT) looking to make a positive impact in a school-based environment. You will play a pivotal part in enhancing students' daily living skills, providing services district-wide from late August through the end of November. This position offers a consistent 35-hour work week and the unique chance to collaborate with educators and families to foster student success.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold an active Connecticut Occupational Therapy license
  • Previous experience in school-based OT settings is highly desirable
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy plans for diverse student populations
  • Reliable transportation to travel between multiple school sites

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to students ages PreK-12
  • Assess, develop, and implement intervention plans based on unique student needs
  • Work alongside classroom teachers and special education teams to ensure consistent support
  • Document and track student progress to meet state and district requirements
  • Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and provide expert recommendations
  • Support a positive, inclusive educational environment across multiple locations
