Bring your expertise as an Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to a rewarding school-based assignment supporting students in a district-wide role. This contract opportunity starts as soon as possible and covers an FMLA/maternity leave for approximately 12 weeks, with a strong likelihood of extension beyond the initial term. This is a full-time, district-wide position working with students from Pre-K through 12th grade. The daily schedule will range from 7 to 7.5 hours, pending final district confirmation.
What You’ll Need:
- Active Connecticut OT license, or COTA license/certification (CT DPH License/NBCOT exam passed)
- Reliable transportation to traverse district locations
- Previous school-based OT/COTA experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting diverse student populations
- Flexibility and commitment to a temporary assignment, with an understanding that extensions—while likely—cannot be guaranteed
- Ability to collaborate within educational environments
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for students of all ages and abilities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement student-centered treatment plans
- Monitor, document, and communicate progress toward established goals
- Provide support and guidance to teachers, staff, and families as needed
- For COTAs: work under OT supervision, consistent with school and licensure requirements
