Step into a rewarding contract position offering the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Pre-K through 4th grade students. As a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will provide essential onsite services across two school buildings. With a full-time schedule running from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (half hour unpaid lunch) for 32.5 hours each week, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ developmental and educational needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license in Massachusetts
- Experience supporting pediatric or school-aged populations, particularly in a Pre-K through 4th grade setting
- Strong background in providing direct therapy, as well as consultative services to teachers and families
- Excellent communication skills for report writing and presentations
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and travel between two buildings as needed
- Comfort with conducting evaluations, writing and presenting reports, and documenting progress according to timelines
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations for students, identifying individual strengths and needs
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans that support student success in both academic and functional activities
- Deliver direct intervention and consultative services in accordance with student IEPs
- Prepare thorough progress reports and participate in team meetings to present findings and recommendations
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and family members to promote generalization of skills
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
