This role provides direct therapy services to students in a supportive, collaborative educational environment. With a consistent schedule—Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 1:30pm—enjoy balanced hours ideal for those seeking part-time work. Each site offers approximately 10 hours per week, which may be split between two professionals or combined for a single provider.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current Massachusetts licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Commitment to fostering student independence and progress
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students on IEPs, focusing on daily functional skills, fine motor development, and sensory processing
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ educational and therapeutic goals
- Maintain accurate documentation of assessment findings, treatment sessions, and student progress
- Partner with classroom teachers and families to carry over strategies in the home and school environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to the development of students’ educational plans
