The anticipated assignment will cover a leave, with the position likely extending through the fall semester.

Key Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT) in New York
  • School-based OT experience preferred, but strong clinical skills in pediatric or educational settings are welcome
  • Ability to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop and implement effective student plans
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Capacity to adapt in a dynamic school environment and provide support across multiple buildings if needed

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct OT services to students, promoting their participation and success in academic and functional school activities
  • Conduct screenings and assessments as required to determine student needs and progress
  • Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals focused on occupational therapy
  • Work closely with special education teams, sharing insights and strategies tailored to each student
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with school and district policies
  • Communicate proactively with staff and families regarding progress and recommendations
