Grades K - 5 Grades 6 - 8 Occupational Therapist School Setting - Bronx, NY

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students on the autism spectrum, ages 5-21, in a dynamic setting near Bronx, NY. This position serves a diverse student population across Kindergarten through 12th grade, offering the chance to make a lasting impact throughout the school year. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year (June 2026).

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Active and current Occupational Therapy certification
• Experience working with children and adolescents with autism
• Comfortable delivering services to students in grades K-5, 6-8, and 9-12
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to tailor interventions for a range of ages and developmental levels
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is an asset

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized intervention plans for students with autism
• Provide direct occupational therapy services within educational environments
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to promote student growth
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
• Contribute expertise as part of multidisciplinary teams to support academic and functional skills
• Adapt sessions and strategies to address sensory, motor, and self-regulation challenges
