About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a supportive Early Intervention school team in the Bronx, New York area. This is an exciting opportunity for an OT who is looking to begin part-time and transition toward full-time hours as the program and caseload grow.

The school is entering its first year as an Early Intervention program and is building a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on supporting young children and their developmental needs.

Position Highlights

• Provide occupational therapy services to Early Intervention students.
• Begin with a few hours per week, with the opportunity to grow toward 40 hours per week as the caseload develops.
• Provide both individual and group therapy sessions.
• Work with approximately 10 students per classroom.
• Each classroom includes a 1:1 teaching assistant for each child and a special education teacher.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, families, and other related-service professionals.
• Address students' fine motor, sensory, functional, developmental, and participation needs.
• Participate in evaluations, goal development, progress monitoring, and documentation as appropriate.
• 12-month position with potential for consistent full-time hours as the program expands.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for New York licensure.
• Pediatric or Early Intervention experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Passion for helping young children develop greater independence and participation in daily activities.
