Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Prior experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Strong skills in documentation, assessment, and individualized treatment planning
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of students’ abilities and challenges related to fine motor, sensory integration, and adaptive skills
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to support educational and functional goals
- Collaborate with teachers and educational teams to integrate OT strategies into classroom activities and routines
- Monitor student progress, adjust treatment goals, and communicate updates to families and staff
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Provide training and education for staff and families to promote carryover of therapeutic techniques within the school and at home
