Qualifications:

  • Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
  • Experience within a school setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Ability to adapt strategies to meet varied student needs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students within the school environment
  • Assess and evaluate student needs and abilities in relation to academic performance and daily living skills
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized intervention plans in collaboration with special education teams
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide relevant input regarding student progress and goals
  • Document assessments, progress notes, and outcomes in accordance with school and regulatory standards
  • Train and support school staff and family members in recommended techniques and accommodations
