Occupational Therapist School Setting in Bucksport, ME

This Extended School Year (ESY) contract opportunity is designed for a skilled OT seeking a flexible, rewarding schedule and the chance to support learners as they reach their full potential.

Your assignment will take place in a supportive environment near Bucksport, ME, where you’ll collaborate with school staff and families to implement individualized interventions. Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Active OT license in the state of Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred
• Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt interventions for diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct evaluation and therapy services for K-12 students as outlined in IEPs during the ESY (summer) session
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving students’ functional abilities within the school environment
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and allied professionals to support students’ educational and developmental goals
• Maintain accurate records and timely progress reports in accordance with program and state guidelines
• Participate in team meetings as requested, offering expertise to promote student success
