Your assignment will take place in a supportive environment near Bucksport, ME, where you’ll collaborate with school staff and families to implement individualized interventions. Enjoy the flexibility of working two mornings per week (choose from Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday), allowing you to maintain work-life balance all summer long.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active OT license in the state of Maine (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt interventions for diverse learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct evaluation and therapy services for K-12 students as outlined in IEPs during the ESY (summer) session
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at improving students’ functional abilities within the school environment
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and allied professionals to support students’ educational and developmental goals
- Maintain accurate records and timely progress reports in accordance with program and state guidelines
- Participate in team meetings as requested, offering expertise to promote student success
