Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a current Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L) valid for school practice
- Previous experience as a school-based OT or related pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and educational therapy documentation
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Proven ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
- Strong organizational skills to manage caseloads, schedules, and paperwork
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs and school guidelines
- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education teams, and parents to develop and implement treatment strategies
- Monitor and document each student’s progress, adjusting interventions as needed
- Participate in team meetings, IEP development, and professional development opportunities as required
- Maintain accurate records, timely reports, and ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines
