Step into a pivotal role supporting student growth and achievement as an Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting near Buhl, ID. This contract opportunity covers the entire academic year from mid-August 2026 to late May 2027, with assignments spanning several local schools, all conveniently situated within close proximity. As part of a collaborative therapy team, you’ll work closely with another OT to manage a caseload of approximately 35 students, making a significant impact on young lives across the district.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program; current OT licensure required
- Previous experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
- Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs for students with diverse needs
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly and work efficiently in a dynamic, multi-school environment
- Must be willing to be onsite; relocation to the area is necessary for travel professionals
Core Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and assess students to identify needs and create individualized intervention plans
- Provide direct OT services to students in accordance with their IEP goals
- Collaborate with teaching staff, administration, and families to incorporate occupational therapy strategies across educational environments
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, reports, and compliance records
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting and progress monitoring
- Travel between assigned schools within the district, ensuring accessibility for all students on the caseload
