Your expertise will help students develop essential skills for classroom success and daily life, collaborating with other education professionals to create an inclusive learning environment.
Key Qualifications:
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) in Texas, issued by the Texas Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
- Previous school-based OT experience is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for collaboration with educators, families, and students
- Ability to adapt to varying grade levels and student needs
- Dedication to fostering student independence, participation, and overall success
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on student needs
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to K-12 students in accordance with IEP goals
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation of student progress and services provided
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure seamless integration of therapy into students’ educational programs
- Attend and participate in required meetings, contributing insights for student support teams
- Provide consultation and recommendations for classroom modifications and assistive strategies
This rewarding position is structured with consistent hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, following the academic calendar.
