School Occupational Therapist | Burleson, Texas

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting K-12 students as a contract Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school environment. You'll provide essential therapy services to a diverse caseload, helping students reach their fullest potential academically and developmentally. This full-time, onsite role runs weekdays from 8:00 to 4:00 and extends through June 2027, offering a chance to make a lasting difference for students with varying needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Texas Occupational Therapist (OTR) license through the Executive Council of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Examiners (ECPTOTE)
• Previous experience working as a school-based OT or in pediatric settings is preferred
• Familiarity with compliance requirements for school-based therapy
• Strong communication, collaborative, and organizational skills
• Ability to develop and implement individualized intervention plans

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and provide direct occupational therapy services to students across grade levels (K-12) based on their IEPs
• Manage a caseload of approximately 45–60 students, adjusting interventions according to service minutes and changing needs
• Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and families to develop strategies for student success
• Maintain thorough documentation and progress reports in line with district and state standards
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
