Occupational Therapist School Setting in Burnsville, MN

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in Minnesota (or eligibility).
• Previous school-based OT experience preferred, but open to those with strong pediatric or educational setting backgrounds.
• Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing targeted intervention plans, and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for supporting diverse learners and fostering student independence.

Role Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and assessments for students referred for occupational therapy services.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address sensory, motor, and adaptive skills within the classroom environment.
• Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to support student IEP goals.
• Maintain ongoing progress notes, service documentation, and provide recommendations for classroom adaptations.
• Participate in IEP meetings and professional development as needed throughout the school year.
