Step into a dynamic school-based opportunity near Burnsville, MN, where your Occupational Therapy expertise will make a real impact. This flexible contract role offers a unique chance to work two days a week—with the possibility of a third day as needed—serving a close-knit student population in a small charter school setting. With a manageable caseload of approximately 35 students spanning grades K–8, your skills will directly benefit children with a variety of academic, behavioral, and related service needs.

What sets this role apart is its collaborative approach. You'll join a supportive special education team dedicated to making a difference through both consultation and direct intervention. Services integrate push-in, pull-out, and consultative models, allowing for diverse and engaging interactions with students and staff. Supervision is provided for COTA candidates, making this an inclusive opportunity for both seasoned and emerging professionals.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current OT license (or eligibility) in Minnesota; COTAs are welcomed with appropriate supervision
  • Experience or strong interest in school-based, home health, healthcare, or teletherapy OT practice
  • Comfort working with K–8 students across academic and behavioral domains
  • Familiarity with IEP processes and SPED Forms for documentation (preferred)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and provide occupational therapy services to students with varying needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to individualized goal planning
  • Use push-in, pull-out, and consultative models to deliver interventions
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families to maximize student progress
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation through SPED Forms
