School Occupational Therapist | Burnsville, Minnesota

Step into a meaningful educational setting supporting students with diverse needs for a contract position starting September 21st through January 4th (no work during winter break) with the potential for extension. In this role, you’ll provide essential Occupational Therapy services in a special education environment, impacting the daily success of students in a Setting IV program.

The position offers 20 hours per week, spread over five days, and you will work closely with a dedicated team of educators and support staff in a dynamic, student-centered atmosphere.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Occupational Therapist license with school-based OT experience.
• Demonstrated experience supporting students in a Setting IV or similar special education environment.
• Reliable transportation is essential.
• Successful completion of both agency onboarding and district background check procedures.
• If previously credentialed, must be in good standing from past assignments.
• Ability to commit to the full term of the assignment and fit within established school hours and schedule.

Responsibilities Include:

• Delivering targeted OT services and interventions to students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Collaborating with special education teams, teachers, and families to support student progress.
• Completing all documentation and reporting requirements accurately and on time.
• Adjusting interventions in response to student progress, classroom needs, and collaborative input.
• Prioritizing the needs of students and maintaining compliance with district and licensure guidelines.
